I’ve sorta renamed my epic fantasy. Was titled: “The Winged Warrior, Book 1”. But now I’m going more toward this: “The Prophecies of Narakeem: The Winged Warrior, Book 1”. Cause not every book will be about the Winged Warrior.
(There’s a bigger than the Grand Canyon river flowing down from the mountains to the ocean separating two big lands. The River Nara. And the two lands are called Faalnara (medieval pastoral land) and Maajnara desert. Ergo the “nara” in the names. I wanted to give it the feel of The Arabian Nights and Barsoom, the planet in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Mars series.
I had started this book years ago and worked on it off and on. When I was taking the Epic Fantasy class with David Farland year before last, I realized the worldbuilding of a brand new planet was a HUGE endeavor! The world itself, the geography and its history, the religion, mythology, cultures, yadda yadda. Lotsa fun! But very time consuming.
So I decided to focus on my urban fantasy (less worldbuilding when it’s on Earth present day) “The Angel Project” series and get a book done faster that way.
I knew I had a LOT to learn about writing a novel, much less all the worldbuilding elements and such. It was an good idea and I’m thankful I did.
Anyway, because they have Adobe Firefly free this week for Black Friday, I’m messin’ around with it and came up with this. Not excellent but good enough for now to learn with.
