Sunday I got to talk about “The Science in Science Fiction” at the National Space Society of North Texas‘ Moon Day event at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, celebrating the 42nd moon walk.
I had never thought to talk about this subject, but it’s right up my alley, and I’ll be presenting classes on it soon. In this presentation, I discussed the history of science fiction to present-day, and how science fiction writers are also “science predictors” using all the myriad of inventions and creations and discoveries that were first forecast by science fiction writers.
I had a lot of fun and hope to do this one next year as well.
